Engineered T7 Polymerase to Reduce dsRNA

The presence of double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) is a major concern in in vitro transcription (IVT), impacting the quality, efficacy, and safety of mRNA-based products. GeneFab has addressed this challenge head-on, implementing an engineered T7 polymerase in our platform mRNA-LNP process. This results in a dramatic reduction of dsRNA contamination—by over an order of magnitude.
